Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group laid the foundation for what is today the Tata Group philosophy on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR).

This has formed the framework on which the philosophy of Tata Motors’ Corporate Social Responsibility is based...the philosophy of ‘giving back to the community’. It has chartered the course that Tata Motors has adopted in its relationship with the community in which it operates.
