Tata Technologies Limited (TTL), in which the Company has a 81.71% holding, provides through its operating companies, INCAT and Tata in which the Company has 81.55% holding, provides specialized Engineering & Design Services (E&D), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and product-development IT services to leading global manufacturers. It responds to customers' needs through 12 subsidiary companies in three continents and through its three offshore development centers. Its customers are among the world's premier automotive, aerospace and customer durable manufacturers. The previous year marked an important milestone in the growth history of the Company with consolidated revenues crossing Rs. 1200 crores.

Tata Technologies is the world's leading independent provider of Engineering & Design, Product & Information Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Product Development IT. Tata Technologies' services include product design, analysis and production engineering, Knowledge Based Engineering, PLM, Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management systems. Tata Technologies is a global leader in engineering knowledge transformation and digital data quality improvement through internally developed software applications iGETIT and iCHECKIT. These applications are used by more than  110,000 engineers in 60 countries.  iGETIT is the only engineering software-as-a-service (SaaS) web application in the world offering 120,000 hours of engineering knowledge for AutoCAD, INVENTOR, Solid Works, Solid Edge, UG/NX, Teamcenter, COSMOS Works, and CATIA on a single delivery platform application.

Tata Technologies Limited had 12 subsidiary companies as at March 31, 2009. A few companies out of these subsidiaries are being wound-up, liquidated or merged as also various restructuring initiatives are being taken with the objective of bringing in operating efficiencies by sharpening focus on its services and product business, fixing territorial responsibility for top and bottom line growth and establishing a global delivery center supporting the overall business. The consolidated revenue for the TTL Group during the FY 2008-09 was Rs. 1241 crores, an increase of 12.81% against Rs. 1100 crores in the previous year. The profit before tax was Rs. 93 crores as against Rs. 51 crores in the previous year, recording a growth of 82.35%. The profit after tax was Rs. 66 crores against Rs. 30 crores in the previous year.
