Tata Motors Finance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, is registered with RBI under Section 45-IA of the RBI Act 1934, as a Systemically Important Non- Banking Finance Company and has been classified as an "Asset Finance Company". Total Income at Rs. 919.94 crore during the year under review was 10.26% higher than in 2007-08 and Loss After Tax was Rs. 120.71 crore against Profit After Tax of Rs 44.77 crore during the previous year.
