Tata Motors (Thailand) Limited (TMTL), in which the Company holds 87.68%, is a joint venture with Thonburi Automotive Assembly Plant Co., for manufacture, assembly and marketing of pickup trucks. The joint venture enables the Company to address the ASEAN and Thailand markets, the later being the second largest pickup market in the world after the USA. The Company sold 640 vehicles at the end of FY 2008-09. The revenue from sales and other income was at Thai Baht 299 million (equivalent to Rs.44.36 crores) for the period ended March 31, 2009.
