Tata Motors has been awarded a certificate of excellence for being "India's best Employer" by the Employees Provident Fund Organisation on the recommendation of the Jharkand Region Employees' Provident Fund Organisation.

Tata Motors has won the award under the "Best complying oldest establishment" category. The award was presented by Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, the Hon'ble Union Minister for Human Resources Development, on 3rd December 2003 at a ceremony in New Delhi.
