At the 67th All India Skill Competition held in January 2002, held by the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Government Of India, Tata Engineering, Training Division, Pune bagged the 'National best Training Establishment Award' for the 6th time.

The 'National Best Apprentice Award' and 5 Runners up positions were awarded to Tata Engineering apprentices.
