Furthering initiatives for an enhanced customer purchase experience of its Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles Range, Tata Motors today showcased over 35 different products – from haulage to construction related key technologies and services, at its ADVANCED TRUCKING EXPO – ‘TRUCK WORLD’, in Jaipur. At TRUCK WORLD – Jaipur, Tata Motors also launched its new SIGNA range of Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles.
A unique initiative for trucking customers and their families, the 2-day TRUCK WORLD EXPO is being held from February 18-19, 2016, offering Tata Motors and its partners, communicative and promotional opportunities about its products and solutions, ‘all under one roof’ – a first-of-its-kind comprehensive purchase experience by a commercial vehicle brand. The Expo also hosts stage performances and various other activities for commercial vehicle customers and their families.
Having first being showcased at the recently concluded SIAM Auto Expo 2016, Tata Motors new SIGNA range of Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles are offered in various configurations and are engineered & built to offer buyers, with a newly designed and configured cabin, with an in-built Telematics system and proven Tata Motors aggregates, for a world-class trucking experience. On display at TRUCK WORLD JAIPUR, are three variants from the SIGNA range – the SIGNA 4923.S tractor, the SIGNA 3118.T multi-axle truck and the SIGNA 2518.K tipper.

With its smartly designed cabin space, improved ergonomics and NVH levels, the SIGNA range of cabins are built to offer a superior in-cab experience, enabling drivers to operate fatigue free over long hauls, which in turn offers significant improvement in productivity. With an inbuilt telematics system, by TATA FLEETMAN, the new SIGNA range empowers fleet operator with a more connected experience, to better manage their transport business through optimum driver, vehicle and fuel management.
The Tata SIGNA range will continue to retain Tata Motors’ largest selling, proven and reliable driveline, which along with Tata Motors’ service support aims to offer best business return to customers.

The Tata SIGNA 4923.S, is a tractoroffering from Tata Motors new SIGNA range of commercial vehicles. With a Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of 49000 Kgs, when coupled with suitable trailers, the Tata SIGNA 4923.S proven and reliable Cummins ISBe 5.9 Common Rail engine, delivers power of 230 PS and a torque of 850Nm, with best-in-class Fuel Efficiency and is based on proven powertrain and aggregates, like the G1150 Gearbox and RA109SRT rear axle. Empowering customers with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership, the Tata SIGNA 4923.S is also offered with multiple fully-built load body options, making the vehicle a preferred choice for transporters for various applications.
The Tata SIGNA 3118.T is an MAV truck from Tata Motors new SIGNA range of commercial vehicles, with both steerable and Lift Axle options. With a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 31 ton, the SIGNA 3118.T is powered by a world-class Tata Cummins B5.9 L– 6 cylinder engine, with an optimum combination of 180 PS and flat torque of 675 Nm at lowest rpm range, delivering best-in-class fuel efficiency and highest engine life. Coupled with a strong and sturdy chassis and vehicle aggregates, the SIGNA 3118.T is most suitable for all applications, also providing customers with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
The Tata SIGNA 2518.K is a Construction and Mining offering from Tata Motors new SIGNA range of commercial vehicles. With a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 25 ton, the Tata SIGNA 2518.K is powered by a world-class Tata Cummins B5.9 L– 6 cylinder engine, with an optimum combination of 180 PS and flat torque of 675 Nm at lowest RPM range, delivering best-in-class fuel efficiency and highest engine life. With a reliable and proven power train, the new Tata SIGNA 2518.K offers its customers better productivity and lowest cost of operations, for a construction vehicle. Multiple options of aggregates combinations and load bodies making the Tata SIGNA 2518.K a versatile workhorse for various applications.
At Truck World Jaipur, Tata Motors has on display over 32 Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, including the Tata PRIMA Range of Trucks and Tippers. The expo also hosts its own service related brands like Tata Genuine Parts, Tata Delight and Tata FleetMan. Tata Motors’ key vendors partners, financers and value-added service providers are also present at the Expo.
Having being hosted in Gurgaon, Vijayawada, Salem, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Gandhidham, Hubli and Indore so far, the TRUCK WORLD: ADVANCED TRUCKING EXPO has managed attract crowd of over 18,000 truckers and their families, across the country so far. Tata Motors also plans to organise TRUCK WORLD, in other trucking centres across the country.
OTHER UNIQUE TRUCKING INITIATIVES BY TATA MOTORS
Tata Motors recently announced Season III of the T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP 2016, scheduled to be held on March 20, 2016, at India’s globally renowned F1 race track – the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida. In keeping with its commitment of making trucking aspirational for Indian drivers and bringing them to truck racing, Season III of T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship will also feature an Indian truck driver’s race for the first time. Like in the earlier seasons, the championship will continue to host experienced international drivers representing six teams, featuring 12 Tata PRIMA race trucks built for the purpose.
Tata Motors also conceptualized and introduced a NEW INDIAN TRUCK DRIVER RACE SELECTION AND TRAINING PROGRAM based on the company’s strategic objective of making the profession of truck driving aspirational and at the same time act as a catalyst to induct drivers into the commercial vehicles profession. These Indian Truck Drivers will be selected from a pool of truck drivers who are employed with Tata Motors key customers all over the country.
