Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, launched its novel product “WINGER 15S” monocoque designed buses, targeting the booming tour and travel segment in India. Starting at a price of Rs. 12.5 lakhs, the vehicle will be available across India, in a phase manner. As a part of the Phase 1, Winger 15S will be launched in 17 markets – Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Chandigarh, Goa, Gurgaon, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Pune, Raipur, Surat and Varanasi.

Especially developed for the Tour and Travels Segment, WINGER 15S offers a unique combination of comfort for passengers and economics for the operator. A cozy interior ambience in the WINGER 15S, provides for enhanced levels of comfort and a superior on-road experience. The vehicle offers comfortable push back seats, individual AC vents, USB charging points for each row of seats, making both short and long journeys a memorable one. Moreover, the WINGER’S monocoque body construction ensures low levels of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), just like a car. Independent front suspension and anti-roll bars with hydraulic shock absorbers ensure a bump-free ride.

For maximum performance and fuel economy, the WINGER 15S is powered by Tata Motors with a 2.2 L DICOR Engine, boasting 100 HP of power and 190 Nm of flat torque, which assures greater pulling power even at low RPM’s.  The 15 seater has a front independent MC Pherson Strut Suspension system gives better maneuverability and better ride comfort. Tata WINGER 15S has a front axle drive resulting in car-like low Noise Vibration Harness (NVH) in its class. Front Axle Drive also ensure lower weight, better traction and reduced transmission loses.

The Tata WINGER 15S is 5458 mm long and comes with bigger 15” tyres with wheel caps, providing a stylish look to the vehicle and improving the ground clearance to 180 mm. With an internal height of 1900mm/ 6.3”, this vehicle helps in ease of passenger movement. For a long distance travel, Winger 15S provides ample luggage space of 600 Litre.
