Tata Motors organises Road Safety Awareness cycle rally in Pune Press kit

Tata Motors organized a ‘Road Safety Awareness’ cycle rally to educate Punekars about the importance of road discipline and following traffic rules.  The cycle rally was organized on 9th September 2018 in Pune to emphasize on the fundamental traffic rules and highlight the basic precautions a commuter must take while on the move. The event saw an overwhelming participation of nearly 1200 Tata Motors employees and their family members.

The ‘Road Safety Awareness’ cycle rally was flagged off from Tata Motors CVBU Main Gate by Mr. Jyotindran Sastabhavan and Mr. Pratyush Khare of VATS, ERC and Mr. Sarfaraj Maner – Head HR, CVBU.  The route for this rally cycle was 15 kilometers long and wound its way in and around the industrial twin cities of Pimpri and Chinchwad.

During the rally, employees and their family members were provided with Road Safety slogans such as – Wear helmet while driving, Do not Use mobile phones while driving, Don’t Drink & Drive, Never exceed speed limits, Wear seat belts while driving, etc.

An alarming rise in deaths due to road accidents has highlighted the need for disciplined driving and stringent adherence to traffic rules.
